OCPJP Exam Details:

No. of Questions: 60
Passing Criteria: 61%
Exam Time: 150 minutes
Note: [Questions do not carry equal weightage, Some have more marks assigned to them than Others]
There are 2 Versions of OCPJP Exam available for candidates. OCPJP 6 and OCPJP 7. The syllabus of both the exams is 95% same with only 2 extra topics added to OCPJP 7.

To achieve OCPJP Certification, Oracle Inc has devised following path.
1. pass OCAJP(Oracle Certified Associate, Java Programmer)
2. pass OCPJP(Oracle Certified Professional, Java Programmer)
However, candidate can directly appear for OCPJP 6 exam and get Professional Certification without OCA,JP(associate) as the syllabus of Associate exam is fully covered in OCP,JP(Professional) Exam.

But, this privilege does not apply to OCPJP 7. Candidate has to appear for OCAJP 7 first and only then becomes eligible for OCPJP 7. This means 2 exams, implies to paying exam fee twice.

We conduct both the exams at our center. The syllabus of OCPJP 6 and OCPJP 7 is pretty much same and it does not matter what version you have certification of, as long as you can answer the questions asked to you in the interview, as a lot is expected of OCPJP candidate.
After the Exam, The Result is made available by Oracle within 15 mins. The candidate gets a link on its Email ID registered before exam, which initiates a registration process on Oracle University Website and once it is done the mark sheet is accessible to the candidate.
After 48 hours of the Exam, Soft Copy of the Certificate is also made available to the candidate from Oracle University portal.
Hard Copy of the certificate is available on request and needs minimum 4-6 weeks to reach the candidate as it is sent by post on candidates address.

Note: For Interview Purpose, Soft Copy of Certificate or Marksheet of OCPJP is more than sufficient
Weather you clear Oracle Exam or Not, The candidate gets course completion certificate from the institute.
This is the question that we see and read in the eyes of many of our students
It is very natural to feel scared, especially if you are the student of a college from MU(No Offence).
But once they complete the training, appear for 3 Mock Tests, Study about 800-1000 real exam questions, this feeling of scared vanishes.
We do not give up on our students. This belief is the pillar of our institute. If a student does not feel confident for exam, he/she is free to attend the full course once again(No fee) with the new batch. We keep few seats reserved for students of previous batches.

But this thing happens with very few students and very rarely. Most of our students have found success in Exam. Check the latest results. You will feel better.
By Gods Grace and their hard work, Almost all our students have cleared the exam in the last 2 years.
The User Interface part of an Android App is made using Frameworks which is mostly drag and drop.
But the functionality to those controls is done by writing Java programs.

So yes, knowledge of Java is required for being a good Android Programmer.

We cover most of Java Concepts that are required in Android development in the course itself.
Yes. Thats the one.

J2EE is not a language like C or java, It represents many Technologies based on Java which are used in integration to develop large and professional applications.
All of them are covered in the Course.
No, You are not advised to join J2EE without having OCPJP Certification.
Even though you might feel good about your programming skills, it is not advisable. OCPJP is lot more that just learning Java language. It teaches you to think like a programmer. Clearing the exam gives confidence which stays with you forever.

Its like a player is fast tracked to Intl Team on the basis of his IPL performance, without any domestic experience, . 99% chances of failure. Result: Bright Talent Wasted.

J2EE after OCPJP is the right way
There is No Exam for Android. It is not a copyright of any company. Although Google has embraced Android recently, It still does not have any certification exam.

There is Certification exam for J2EE (OCWCD). It is up to the candidate whether they wish to go for it or not.
Importance wise, Its not that important. OCWCD exam is also MCQ pattern, which does not speak much about a developer. If You claim to be J2EE developer, Your Interviewer is more likely to ask you about the projects you have developed rather than your certificate.

Hence the emphasis in this course is given on practical development.
OCPJP is kind of Mandatory these days for landing good jobs. Only Jobs where you work as Technical Support Person, you might be exempted.
OCPJP is like a passport of candidate knowing Java.

An OCPJP candidate is more likely to crack Technical Tests of Companies as the exam covers all the questions used in Interviews as well. Many companies use the same questions that appear in OCPJP for their technical tests.

Its a general belief and agreement in IT World that OCPJP candidate has more Technical knowledge about Java than non OCPJP candidate.
Development Jobs.

You can and should expect yourself to be part of a core group of development team of any company.

You are taught to create Application independently on your own. In the course itself, you make 2 strong applications that can go directly on your CV. So you can expect yourself to be selected for Developer Job.

However, This is not a straight forward course. It is not easy to develop applications on our own. Its hard enough to do it in a team let alone individually. Java/J2EE Developers are the creams of IT market. They get more salaries, have better career prospects and are always in demand.
And all this comes after lot of practice, hard work and commitment towards the course. Some of our past students of this course have landed jobs in companies like Oracle Inc and barclays
